Learning Curve

From you, I learned compassion-

Although you taught it as contempt

The bitter, mistrusting attempt- To mold me in your fashion

From you, I learned how to judge-

To judge others as you judged me

During Eliot's toast and tea You could always hold a grudge

From you, my dear, I learned a lot-

I've learned truth, I've learned right
