The Blood Of Ages

I'm blazing a trail in a forest
Red raindrops falling everywhere
Soaked to the bone I wipe the sweat from my eye
And leave all inhibitions alone
She cries and I don't know if she can get to me
Taste of blood overwhelms my tongue
She screams to go on

Deeper into the jungle I run
Blind to every path I take
I can't take it anymore
But it's the only thing she can't do without
It's the only place I'd want to be

A crimson mustache adorns my face
As I return from catching my breath
I must trek on into her depths
Not remembering only wondering why
She writhes again and I know
The blood runs and trickles down my face
I've taken her higher

Deeper into the jungle I run
Blind to every path I take
I can't take it anymore
But it's the only thing she can't do without
It's the only place I'd want to be

She turns away breathing heavily in the night
I found the gold at the end of the rainbow
The blood everywhere is a small price to pay
I'd do it again
I'd do it again
Just as long as I don't break out tomorrow
